On March 29th, 2006 a solar eclipse of the Sun will be visible from Europe, Africa and Asia. In a few lucky countries (Egypt, Turkey, Russia, Brazil, Mongolia, Libya, Togo, Nigeria, Chad, etc.) the moon will completely obscure the sun and cause almost total darkness for a few minutes. It will be a total solar eclipse. Such an event only happens every few years. In addition in Europe many countries (France, U.K, Italy, Spain, Germany, etc.) will enjoy the spectacle of a partial eclipse.

The website contains information about the eclipse, where to view it, how to view it … safely!, how to photograph it, and also the official Eclipse World Blog where you can share eclipse experiences (past and present), photographs and videos.

Please visit this site if you’d like to find out more about the eclipse. Check it regularly, especially nearer the time, as updates will be happening frequently!
