A fast subroutine for calculating element diffusion in stars

Explanation

Diffusion.f is an exportable subroutine to calculate the diffusion of elements in stars. The routine solves exactly the Burgers equations and can include any number of elements as variables. The routine has been used by Bahcall and Pinsonneault (1995), Rev. Mod Phys, 67, 781--808 (Oct. 1995), to derive an accurate solar model in order to calculate improved values for the predicted solar neutrino fluxes. However, there are many other possible applications to main sequence and to evolved stars. The use of the subroutine is explained in the README file. For additional information, please contact Dr. A. Thoul, anne.thoul@ulg.ac.be.
