This book is a series of pedagogical lectures on the principal aspects of dark matter, theoretical and observational. The book contains, in addition to the lectures, several key reprints and a review article on recent developments regarding the role of cold dark matter in cosmology. My personal perspectives on Dark Matter and the issues discussed in the book are presented in Chapter 1: Introduction.

This is the second edition of this book originally published in 1987 entitled Dark Matter in the Universe: Jerusalem Winter School for Theoretical Physics, Jerusalem, 30 December-8 January, 1987.
