Overview
I am a postdoctoral member at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ, where I study cosmology. In June 2010, I received my Ph.D at Caltech, where I was a graduate student in the Theoretical Astrophysics Including Relativity (TAPIR) group. I was advised by Profs. Marc Kamionkowski and Prof. Christopher M. Hirata. I also collaborate with Prof. Robert Caldwell, Andrew Benson, Tristan Smith, Giovanni Covone, Prof. Jean-Paul Kneib, Eric Jullo, Prof. Andrew Blain, and Prof. Michael Strauss. My current research focuses on cosmological hydrogen recombination and its effect on cosmic microwave background (CMB) observables. Other active areas of work include axions, modified cosmological thermal histories, dark matter halo structure, constraints to novel theories of gravity, and Lyman limit systems. A detailed description of my research may be found here. During graduate school, I was supported by a Hale fellowship from the Moore foundation and a Dan David scholarship. I received my A.B. in physics from Princeton University, followed by a M. Stud. in Philosophy at Oxford University. I have also worked as a technical consultant for Imperial Woodpecker productions on an Intel advertisement. ![]() |
