Walking Directions to the Institute for Advanced Study From Princeton Train Station*

You will be asked to refer to two maps when following these directions.

The first map shows the Princeton Area, including the streets you can walk from the station (Point C on the map) to the Institute (point A on the map). This is about a 25-minute walk.

Turn right out of the station onto University Place and make the first left on College Road.  Walk College Road across Alexander Street and continue on to where the road forks.  Take the right fork (the left proceeds up a hill and ends at the Theological Seminary).  Follow the right fork of College Road till it ends at Springdale Road.  Turn left on Springdale and walk to the third right, then turn right and walk on Ober Road to Olden Lane. Cross Olden Lane and walk up Einstein Drive onto the Institute Campus.

The second map shows the Institute campus in detail.  As you walk along Einstein Drive towards the campus, stay to the left at the forks, passing turn offs on your right for Battle Road Circle and Maxwell Lane.  Continue walking along Einstein as it keeps curving to the left, passing the entrance to Parking Lot B on your right.

Fuld Hall (the main administration building, marked as #1 on the map) will be on your right after you pass Parking Lot B; it is the building with the clock tower.  If you enter the front doors of Fuld Hall, you will find the Reception Office on your right.

If you wish to continue walking to Bloomberg Hall (the location of registration on Sunday, July 8, and of the PiTP Program Office), enter the front door of Fuld Hall and walk straight through the entrance hall, down the steps into the Common Room, and exit out of the back doors of Fuld Hall.

Once you exit out the back of Fuld Hall, turn left. Bear to the left at the fork in the path, and Bloomberg Hall will be on your right hand side (#4 on the map).

To return to Princeton Station, simply reverse these walking directions.

One note, the streets are not well-lit in the area so if you will be walking in the evening after sunset, you may wish to bring a flashlight with you.
