SAS v5.4.1

The Science Analysis System (SAS) is a collection of tasks, scripts and libraries, specifically designed to reduce and analyze data collected by the XMM-Newton observatory.

The following initialization procedure will need to be conducted for you to use SAS:

Under tcsh

setenv SAS_PATH /usr/local/xmmsas_20030110_1802/
setenv SAS_DIR /usr/local/xmmsas_20030110_1802/

Under bash

export SAS_PATH=/usr/local/xmmsas_20030110_1802/
export SAS_DIR=/usr/local/xmmsas_20030110_1802/
