Maple is available on all linux systems. SNS has a floating network license with a limited number of concurrent users, so please be sure to exit the application when you are finished using it.
Maple provides users with two worksheet interfaces (graphical user interfaces) and a command line (text-based) interface. All have access to the full mathematical engine of Maple.
Use the following commands to begin a Maple session:
maple
(command-line session)
xmaple (Standard Worksheet)
maple -cw (Classic Worksheet)
Both maple and xmaple have help features available. In maple,
type a question mark followed by a command name, for
example: ?solve to get help
for the solve command. This help feature is also available in
xmaple, in addition to a help button located in the upper right
corner of the xmaple window.
Online tutorials, discussion groups, and numerous Maple links are available at http://www.mapleapps.com.
