DVD Recorder

The School of Natural Sciences has a DVD+-R/RW as well as a CD-RW drive available for public use. These drives are attached to the Windows PC located in Bloomberg Hall, Room 261. The CD/RW drive can write to CD-R or CD-RW disks. The DVD+-R/RW drive can write to CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW disks.

To record a CD or DVD data disc:

  1. Log into the PC.
  2. Place the blank disc into the drive.
  3. Click Start --> Programs --> Roxio Easy CD Creator 6 --> Creator Classic
  4. Change the Default Recorder located at the lower right corner of the window to the drive you will be using (once you select the correct drive, the display will tell you how much free space is available.
  5. Locate the files/directories you wish to copy to your disc and drag them to the lower window (remember your home drive is drive letter H:\).
  6. Once completed, select File --> Record.
  7. When the disc finishes recording, you can eject the disc and log out.
